Are there no other forwards they'd want to protect by just not signing Danault until after?

What would it take for Seattle not to take Allen a 2nd rounder? I'd take that deal.

GMMB should squeeze as much value as he possibly can put them if they do.

I can’t see a team having interest in a guy who walked away for whichever reason, without him saying he’s ready to return or at least something

Evans is providing to be an affective role player. Played wing very well in a defensive role up the line. Kills penalties and was good option as third/fourth line Center

Drouin has more skill but Evans in the latter part of the season and early into the playoffs before the injury showed value

My assumption it would be one of the Jakes going to Seattle. Most likely Allen.

That speaks to the great job that the Habs organization does when personal matters involving the team need to be kept under wraps.

Last year, Drouin proved to be an affective role player during the playoffs in the quarantined bubble.

Played wing very well in an offensive role up the line. Plays on the power-play and was good option as first/second line winger.

    Evans has more grit.

But people completely overlook that even though the Habs made it to the Cup Finals, they barely made the playoffs.

Drouin did way more to help the Habs get to the playoffs than Evans.

My assumption is that Jake Allen will be selected by Seattle.

Your assumption is that one of the Jakes could go to Seattle but that Jake Evans would be protected over Drouin.

    That doesn't make any sense.

I don’t know if you could say he was an effective 1st or 2nd line winger or powerplay guy with 2 goals. Yes he had the assist but but first line wingers have that amount of assist plus few more goals.

I agreed jo had a good bubble performance, showed a flash with zuk there.

I’m not against not bring him back but at this point no ones knows wgat he wants. So that would scare Seattle away.

Sorry I meant if both Jake’s were exposed to Seattle it would be one of them. As in your scenario. I’m not trying to throw shade or say your wrong. It was just my feeling that the organization see more of a future with Evans then Jo at this point.
