just seeing a surplus of LD talent on the Avs and a shortage on my hawks. plus the hawks have plenty of cap space to help the avs out there. Wondering if anything could be done there.

Seriously is there a hole in the ozone layer that specifically targets MTL fans? Like I get it, Girard is French-Canadian but FFS do you think the Avs are going to accept anything but an overpayment for Girard, the proposed 4 pieces have almost zero value to Avs compared to Girard.

I am french-canadian and I hate the fact that most montreal fans want a lot of french player. For example, I would take bergeron in my team because he is good and not because he’s french canadian. I want Girard because hes very talented . For you, what would the Canadiens would have to give ?

COL would have to get something that they value as much, honestly the only guys that fit what COL would want to do taking into account age, talent AND contract are Caulfield and Suzuki and MTL won’t want to do that. Romanov would be a maybe but MTL would have to add. Girard is a very good player, I think he finished 11th in the All NHL team voting on dmen, AND he has such a team friendly contract that I don’t know that MTL has the pieces to even make a trade happen. But that’s just my take on it.
