Obviously Meier is the better player and I don't think that the intension was for the focus to be on Allen as the main peice. I think what was meant was Allen + what = Meier? Thinking the starting point would be 2022 1st top 10 protected + Allen + Brook or a similar prospect at a position of need for the sharks. I think that was GMs intention here.

Personally I wouldnt move Meier without a legitimate top prospect coming back, and if Meier is traded, it means its a blowup so Allen is useless to a team trying to lose.

For the millionth time around here, the QO means literally nothing in terms of trade value. View Meier as having 2 years to UFA rather than 2 years to RFA. He's either going to be locked up long-term before the QO is required or he is going to be a UFA.
