You should trade Marner for Kotkaniemi

Marner brings a lot to the table. He is a gifted playmaker and is actually decent defensively when he's not trying to be too creative. The problem is that he is paid 2 million a year too much (AAV). The Senators have a franchise player in Brady Tkachuk. It is rare to try and build your team around a winger. But when you have the complete package in a player you do it. See the Washington Capitals. The Senators will not be trading Brady Tkachuk unless its for another franchise player.

I think the Ducks would trade Rakell and Manson packaged... but as a package, the 2022 1st and Nick Robertson would have to be the return.

Also, Bozak will not be signing for 1.5 million

I understand where you’re coming from but brady isn’t near a franchise player. He’s good and can be a 1rst line player but no where near franchise. Franchise player sre guys like Matthews Mackinnon Mcdavid Draisitl etc.. I doubt Brady Tkachuk will ever be a ppg player in his career. He’s got grit and all but isn’t close to marner in term of talent. He’s cost control and won’t be overpay like marner so it make sens to the ott to keep him longterm but calling him a franchise player is not really accurate. Is Nick Suzuki a franchise player? No. A Elite player? Yes. Just like brady
