Then this trade would make some sense. Keith has been an ironman in terms of games played the last bunch of years and the Oilers only really pay him 2.1 and then next year 1.5 so not bad for the Oilers in my opinion.

I personally don't think either is a good example of what the market should look like. Keith trade is a big 'ol question mark as to why the heck Edmonton did it, but the Arvidsson deal (IMO) was a "Let's get out of this contract ASAP so that we can make moves sooner rather than later".
