Eichel trades do not make sense until he is fully recovered from his surgery. There is just too much risk (15-25% chance of surgery failure) for a team to give up major assets to acquire Eichel. I would suggest that you forget Eichel until at least next years deadline.

I am to the point where I am just going to copy and paste on EVERY Eichel trade

Yes. They're getting back a cap dump (Byron), a guy who's been injured and hasn't produced at a super high rate and is likely a little overpaid and on his way out (Drouin), a solid but not high end young centre (Kotkaniemi), a couple B-tier prospects in Guhle and Primeau, and 30th + 60th overall picks.

Idk if I’m Montreal I have no use for eichel with Suzuki and kotkaniemi/danault IMO they need better goal scoring wingers and better depth

Only one of those guys is a truly high end centre, and even then Suzuki isn't as good as Eichel. Eichel-Suzuki-Danault is fantastic centre depth.

I mean Suzuki Is 21 and had 41 points in 50ish games if ducharme plays him and caufield together next season that could be nuts. But if ducharme doesn’t like kotkaniemi I’d like him on the rangers, Finnish connection with kakko

Sabres dont care about Guhle. They already had one. They need forwards, MTL needs to add Suzuki

Kotkaniemi has no value on the market. He will never become a dominant centerman in the NHL because his skating is horrific. It was a waist of a 3rd overall pick, but they will never admit it. Buffalo can get better value for Eichel if they are patient enough.

And how do you propose Montreal resigns Suzuki next year? So while you say this is great center depth it is only great for 1 year then we lose Suzuki and are now looking at Eichel-Danault-Evans as our top 3 with very little depth behind them. No personally I would rather keep Suzuki-Kotkaniemi-Danault-Evans for the next 6-10 years. Also now they have to find another top end Goalie prospect who will be NHL ready in 1-2 years to transition from Price.

Who said I was a doctor? I am capable of finding and siting actual studies to support my claims like the following which actually sites the odds of failure at 26% (24 out of 91 surgeries).

Read the Virginia Spine Institute, Dr. Ehsan Jazini says Cervical disc replacement surgery is 95% success rate. I've read numerous reports that say anywhere from 5-20% failure rate in the long term. It all depends on what you're actual problem is too. Say degenerative disc disease or what Eichel has, a herniated disc. One thing I do know is he's probably going to have one of the best neurosurgeons perform the surgery if he truly needs it. I do know a bit about this because I've had spinal fusion. I broke C3 through c7 in 1997 from a car accident.

That sucks sorry to hear about your accident, like I said I have degenerative disc disease and know how much pain there truly is with back pain. I couldn't imagine having a broken back, backs are a pain in the *** to try to recover from because you can't do anything without using your back that is why recovery times can easily be extended for back issues. Yes there are varying failure rates depending on the study, I have seen as little as 0% and as much as 35% I tend to consider both ends of the spectrum as either a fluke or incomplete/inaccurate data. There is no way any doctor could have a 0% success rate as there is also no way a doctor could survive a career in medicine with a 35% failure rate. With a failure rate having such a wide range, the team trading for Eichel IMO wouldn't be as willing to trade major assets until he returned to game action. Imagine if Montreal traded Kotkaniemi + Primeau + 22 1st + Romanov ++ for Eichel before his surgery then his surgery either is a failure or is a success but he is only capable of playing bit only as a 60-70 point player for 3 more years before requiring surgery again and ending his career. We would have given up 3 major pieces and probably 50-60 years worth of man games for a guy who can't even finish out his contract. So I think IF Eichel was moved you may get 2 or 3 1st round picks (not on the form of players just picks) + 1 or 2 B or C prospects until He is fully recovered and returns to game action. Once he returns to game action and proves the surgery was at least somewhat successful, then you can ask for those primium pieces. For Shabbal18 to claim there is "NO RISK" and that "its being blown out if proportion on this site" is ludicrous! It's major back surgery of course there are huge risks!

Edit** sorry for quoating Shabbal I was arguing with him on a separate thread and mistook that one for this one lol.
