I believe Seattle has been clear they want a 1st for taking Johnson in the draft.

Other teams will not be bailing Tampa out of their cap situation with 1sts. LAK in particular is in no way giving up an 8OA for 1 year of Palat.

Pretty wishful thinking here.

It has been reported that Seattle is asking for a more than Vegas was asking for when it comes to taking on large cap hits. Do not think ou will get of that easy with Johnson

Avs have cap issues coming up and can not take on that salary.

LA might want Palat, but not for a 1st.

Tampa has cap issues and every Gm knows it and wil exact a heavy price to help TB out.

Killorn is a player that will decline wiith age and now has a rod in his leg from a broken fibula. He's one of the few without a full NMC or NTC on the Bolts(modified)

He's as good as gone and has no value but is a negative asset with the Bolts needing to dump TJ and Killorn or Palat. NO GM is giving up much of anything

These trades assume GMs dont understand that cap space is an asset in a cap world

Can't see the Avs giving up both their backup goalie (assuming he fully recovers from surgery) and a first for Killer when he's pretty old has term and Tampa needs the cap space. Does nobody remember that Nate Schmidt only brought back a 3rd because Vegas needed the cap space?
