Can't see the Jets trading Ehlers and 5m in cap for Marner. Foligno isn't a centre. Svechnikov stays a Cane even if signs for less

Foligno took 250 faceoffs this year. Caralina offered him 7.5 and he rejected. This contract would also be front loaded

No from the Jets. Ehlers at $6m/4 years or Marner at 10.9/4 years makes the choice quite easy.

So Foligno took face-offs. He's just lacks creativity and mobility to be an effective centre. He's a plugging LWer now. Svechnikov might want to remain a Cane instead of coming to the Leafs. So he rejected 7.5m, doesn't mean that is the final offer from the Canes.

Foligno was hurt with the leafs but if it means that much to you they could sign a different 3c with that money. I don't know how much the canes are going to pay him or where he wants to go I'm just making an offer.

Leafs went the veteran route last year....for so called leadership and experience. Really Thornton, Simmons and Foligno looked gassed. The young (now not so young core) has to step up.
I'm amazed in so many Leafs posts, that is appears that Engvall, Mikheyev, Dermot and Holl were to blame for the Leafs playoff failures.

JVR goes to Seattle, then they trade him(with some salary retained, and other pieces they drafted likely) to the Leafs for Rielly, who will be more likely re-sign close to his birthplace? He was rocking that YVR shirt during post-season interviews, boy can't wait to leave.

I definitely blame the "stars" the most. that's why I traded Marner.
