Tampa has to shed salary some day, right? Trade Vanecek pre ED so Seattle has to take someone more expensive off our hands. Hey Hey SanJose, send us Hertl for Kuzy and we'll throw in VV and you can unload Martin Jones!!! How does that sound? If we can land Sergachev then Dillon is the Kraken. Hagelin is replaceable and expensive. Mrazek or another backup goalie at 1.5MM. Still room to replace Pilon with McMichael, but CM isn't clearly one of the top 4 centers so start him in Hershey.

Mrazek is going to make double that on a 2-3 year deal. Also don’t think that Sergachev is a piece Tampa will be willing to deal unless it’s a massive overpay and that’s not one.

Doubt if San Jose wants Kutz's long term cap. Tampa will offload Palat, Killorn, maybe Johnson(if they can) before trading Sergachev for so little.

Value is low on Sergachev.

Also struggling with the idea of Ottawa picking up a 2.5m cap dump for you and only being compensated by moving up 40ish places in the draft. The difference between low 2nd and high 4th is significantly different than between high 2nd and late 4th. Could it not just be a 3rd straight up?
