I think you're way over valuing him. He's a great player but has issues. I think a late first and a B level prospect gets it done.

The Chicago trade sticks out like a sore thumb in comparison to the others. They’re giving up a lot more than anyone else.

Same with the Kraken trade

Yeah it’s a nope for a lot of these. Boeser is way more valuable and DeBrincat is too. As a previous person said, probably only worth a late first or second and a decent prospect.

I guess it depends on what you think about the strength of the draft. I haven’t paid much attention at all to the draft prospects, so you’d know better than I would.

DeBrincat is 6 years younger and has outproduced 2 out of the last 3 seasons. The Blackhawks aren't trading him

A new expansion team wouldn't trade their 2nd pick+early 2nd round pick for a 29 center that has regressed in the last couple of seasons and has off ice issues

lol Kuzy is still a high end center... idk why people try to penny pinch his value. Marchenko is good but hardly enough to get Kuzy with a late 1st. was on pace for 68 points 2 years ago and besides COVID he had a solid ending to the year 16p in 20 gp.

This draft isn't as bad as people are making it out to be. There isn't a "generational talent" which is why people are considering the draft weak. But this draft is pretty solid. Not as good as 2020, but not as bad as people say.

Caps are in a tough spot with a Kuznetsov trade because we need to accomplish something specific with it. We're not in a spot to just sell him off to the highest bidder, we really need to make sure we get a top six center back, or at least immediately have another trade in place to get his replacement. A lot of the Kuznetsov proposals out here make sense value wise, but it doesn't accomplish what we need to be accomplished.

Well I think caps need to get younger

For the Flames, I’d say the best you’d get in return for Kuznetsov is Backlund, and even then, we don’t wanna pay that much for a second or third line centreman

Literally the only trade here that’s close is Arizona. Every other trade is pretty far off in value one way or the other.
