Think Gibson is from Pittsburgh maybe and the Pens need a goalie hence the Gibson to the Penguins trades.

That’s a easy no from Edmonton, Zucker’s contract is worse then Kassian’s, Jarry isn’t good and we have zero need for a 3rd pair left D and you want a first and second, funny joke

Zucker is going to be great wherever he goes. His speed with McDavid would be Nuts. Jarry is a good goalie, from Alberta. Riikola is a throw in. They also get rid of koskinen.

No Jarry isn’t a good goalie 888 in the playoffs the main reason you lost, but he’s so good you want to move him odd
Zucker was so good he couldn’t put up points playing with Crosby and Malkin, he’s your problem, he was so good you feel you need to move him odd
Koskinen buyout is cheap not a concern and where in the world do you think there’s any value that Edmonton needs to add a first and second

hockey wise if someone is going to say no is pit.

zucker is better then any winger you have, jarry is an huge upgrade in that position for your team, and even riikola who's a depth piece could crack your top 6

and you give us two of the worst contracts in the league....

Well then it's easy to say this trade is terrible for both sides.

Pens fans always trying to get above market value for a guy coming off a down year at 29 years old with 2 years left at $5.5mil... that's the age where a lot of players start to decline, there is a ton of risk in that contract in a flat cap world. Oilers don't have a LD depth problem, they need to upgrade which I don't think Riikola is. I believe the stat I saw was that Jarry had the worst playoff performance based on GSAA in 7 years. This is not a package I would even think about putting a 1st let alone a 2nd into.

Koskinen isn't worth his cap hit but is still a back-up if nothing else pans out on the goalie market. Goaltending has not been the Oilers problem the last 2 years... worst case they stick out the contract, not desperate to buy it out. By the time the Oilers are retaining half of the Kassian contract it's a neutral value contract and we'd just have to replace with a similar contract so wouldn't really save us anything, better off keeping him and hope he rights the ship.
GrinReaper a aimé ceci.
