Islanders don’t like that trade. A second round pick that seems to be developing nicely to get rid of Komarov. If it were a straight 2nd round pick(the one from COL), then it’d be a good trade.

Thing is we're doing the favor Usually you give to get in that case. It's less favorable (pick/player) to be more favorable (cap relief)

We are also not giving Wood for Jvr!

I agree that Wood for JVR is absurd, I love the way Wood plays and might be one of my favorite players that is and has never been an islander. But I don’t understand what you mean about favor ad ****.

We are taking $7M x2 from philly, we are not contending at least in yr 1 of that. Thats a favor of cap relief. I like JVR but not at that hit and not for those assets, so for me its a favor. We hardly need to get rid of Wood and when we are ready to contend JVR will be off the books.

I like the Islanders trade but not the Flyers trade. Wood has more value than JVR

I just don’t know what PHI should add
This is just the base of a trade

JVR for Merkley+4th would be more reasonable

But for a non Devils fan, this is a good ACGM. Just add Holtz and Bahl to the roster

Not sure if Holtz is ready, but if you say he is then Ok I should add him
I don’t see any team taking Butcher, that’s why I kept him

I think Holtz will be ready. He's been training with NHL Players (Bratt and Zacha) for a while and has looked great in the AHL

    These would be my lines
    Kuokkanen-Hughes-Sharangovich
    Zacha-Nico-Bratt
    Foote-Boqvisr-Holtz
    Wood-McLeod-Bastian

Defense stays the stay except Bahl over Siegenthaler (it could go either way but I liked what I saw from Bahl more than I was from Siegenthaler)

I know NJ aren’t trying to make the playoffs but are you sure that 3rd line isn’t too young ?

The whole team is very young lol. The oldest guy on the forward core is 25 (Wood) and the average age for the forwards is around 23. I want the Devils to get a veteran 3C like Coleman or Henrique but I would be fine with a young 3rd line
