Also think this makes a lot of sense cause then they won’t have to pay kakko when the contracts are all up and can actually afford to keep (most) of their players

1. Personally, Id rather keep Schneider and trade Lundkvist.
2. If you trade for Eichel, you have to trade Buchnevich. Its simply not in the budget to keep him and resign Zib, Fox, Kakko and Krav the following year.
3. Im hoping this is simply just about an Eichel trade and the bottom 6 isnt for real.

Rangers aren't trading Lundkvist so that is out of the question. If you trade for Eichel, then Zibby is likely gone as well as you cant devote $18M+ to two players with big injury risks/concerns. I think OP focused on Eichel and resigning our RFA's (which he overpayed) and didn't focus on FA and the bottom 6.

Its very possible to keep Zibby and sign the rest, youre just stuck having to trade Buchnevich.

With Gallant's experience with Schneider in the juniors tourney, I have a hard time believing he's going to be traded either.

I would take this if its the best offer we get.
