Holl would play bottom pairing for them and have the ability to jump in the top 4 when trouba inevitably gets hurt but you ranking prospects ahead of holl is laughable that Swedish kid hasn’t played a game in North America yet I doubt he’s gonna jump in and play big minutes right away

If Appleton isn't taken by Seattle, the Jets will keep him. They won't trade him for two players they have absolutely no use for.

Appleton definitely helps the Leafs, but that trade does not help the Jets. By the time the Jets start considering depth acquisitions, Appleton will already be on the Seattle roster. Better to lose one roster player for nothing (Seattle) than to lose two roster players (Toronto, then Seattle) and get scraps in return.

Rangers penalty kill was 10th in the league. Leafs were 24th.
Rangers had only 7 goals more scored against them compared to the Leafs.
So Id say the Rangers defense isnt that bad.

Jets are better off losing one roster player in Appleton for nothing to Seattle. If the Jets did that trade, then they lose two roster players: Appleton (Toronto) and then DeMelo/Stanley (Seattle) and they get ballast in return. They can get a third pairing for cheap on the market without giving assets and Anderson simply isn't needed.

It’s laughable that you say “Swedish kid that hasn’t played a game in North America” and Robertson/Schneider aren’t worth playing over someone with a -9+ cf rel% last season on a good team. Hell, even Brendan smith wasn’t that bad. Rangers just resign him at a league minimum deal and keep gauthier. You can have hajek essentially for free anyway.
