Description
I want everyone on this site, especially leaf fans to listen to this. TORONTO IS NOT TRADING WILLIAM NYLANDER. This rookie is 20 years old with the potential to be an elite 70+ point player. Why is everyone shopping him? If we trade him now then we are not getting the value of a dynamic 70 point player. Another thing, wh is everyone trying to trade him for Jacob Trouba. Gardiner is superior to him in every aspect and whoever does not agree, show me proof. The only actual proof in this game are analytic stats and everything gives Gardiner the advantage. Everyone stop trying to trade Nylander, this management is not as stupid as the last guys and will not disrupt the best offensive core in the league of Nylander Marner and Mathhews unless if it is exremel lopsided

Why is everyone shopping him? I've never been in favour of trading him. And even that Ekblad trade, wonder if the Panthers think signing Ekblad to a 7.5m contract was a wise idea. With the contract I'm sure a lot of teams would be very wary of trading for him.
Trouba for Gardiner...might be fair trade and Trouba is "under control" for a year longer so there is some appeal for the Leafs for that deal.

As a leafs fan I would make this trade. As Florida's GM I wouldn't return your call

I love him. He is extremely fun to watch but I think that he is being wasted on the defensive line with kadri and komarov. I think that he shoould switch with Connor Bown giving the leafs the Matthews - Nylander - Hyman line that was dynamite in the beginning of the season s well as the most annoying ine to play against with komarov - kadri - brown

gunshot125: I can't see myself why he should be traded. Yes, for a good trade, but not for "just because".
Idris: I'll kinda disagree with you on his line placement. Leafs have been playing three balanced lines. The more "skilled" players get more time on the PP. An NHL player when he's on on a even strength situation better know how to play offence/defence, which i think is part of the learning process for the young Leafs. Same with defence pairings. The more offensive guys get more minutes via the PP, but when playing even strength all six Dmen better know how to get the opponents from scoring and hopefully chip offensively.

I just think that its a better fit to have brown make that ine harder for the opposition and have nylander play the way he was at the beginning of the season
