TBH I don't think Montreal has the assets to get Tkachuk. And the peice that Flames would be interested isn't being traded I have been told.

Don’t think we’re trading for a big name this offseason but someone like Foegele, Garland or Kuemper could be nice

Caufield

Yeah, Caufield isn't going anywhere. He'll be a 25-30 goal scorer next year and my guess is he'll have more goals than Tkachuk next season. The Habs aren't trading Suzuki or Caufield. KK and Romanov would only go for a really major piece. (ie: Eichel)

Garland since he seems underrated based on some trades I saw. Also, it looks like we could get him at a nice deal (5 millions) which would be even better

A big offensive LW and a substitute goalie (to replace Allen) is top of the list.

I would really like Garland. I think he would fit well with Caufield and Suzuki. Toffoli could move down and play with KK and Anderson

Id rather play him with KK. That way, KK get his smaller skilled winger as well. Toffoli-Suzuki-Caufield works great.

Ekholm, saad, oleksiak, dunn, garland, patrick (if he's very cheap and if the habs can suit his health needs) or ullmark would be sick

Actually, the pp 2 could already be much better without Weber and Staal (Romanov and Armia being included)

Habs desperately need a goal scoring winger. Preferably a left handed one since we have lots of righty’s, KK makes plates but isn’t exactly with 2 offensive studs. If we can’t get a winger I’d go for a offensive left hand d man. Werenski would be really nice, would also love to take a chance on Nolan Patrick

Wouldn't be surprised to see Bergevin take a run at Saad if he's available. He likes his ex-Hawks + he plays the way we've seen to team play during playoffs.

Dunn or Murray would be good pick ups especially if we lose Chiarot or Edmundson to the expansion draft.

I also wouldn't mind a swap of Ristolainen for Drouin (maybe not 1 for 1). Salaries are pretty equal, Drouin is most likely to ask out of town and Ristolainen can benefit from a change of scenery. It would also give the team a younger option on the right side as Weber and Petry aren't getting any younger and all of our top prospect on D are playing the left side.

Who do you guys see us resigning from our UFA group? I see them resigning Danault, Armia, Staal, Perry, and Gus. I only want us to resign Perry. I'd also have Armia and Danault back at the right price.

Cap space is going to be the major factor in what they do. If Danualt is resigned and Drouin is back in the lineup or he's replaced by a similar cap hit, about the only way they have money to sign Suzuki, Evans and Romanov is by letting Chiarot and Kulak walk and replacing them with ELCs or similar cap hits. That also probably means letting Armia walk, which is definitely going to hurt after the playoffs he's had.

I'd really like to see them get a good scoring LW and a PMD, but they'd probably have to avoid the big names and go for guys like Copp, Foegele or maybe DeBrusk (if they think they can sign him at a good number). On D, Dunn would be good if the trade price doesn't go too high.

I could see Bergevin signing guys like Janmark and Goligoski to short term deals to bridge the gap until some of their prospects that will be coming in the next 2-3 seasons are ready.

knowing Bergevin I think I know whose gonna come and its gonna make their recent success all go down the drain and the media and fanbase is gonna be pissed.

remember a certain someone from the NYR

yeah im 90% sure hes gonna end up a Hab as per a recent article and both Dreiger and Friedman confirming it, Bergevin was waiting for him to be bought and was ready to give him a deal and with the news hes gonna be bought out this summer. Would not be surprised if we see this guy in a habs jersey probs with Kulak or Romanov.

well hes gonna do it. If NYR bought out Deangelo at the deadline like they originally planned he would have been on the Habs it was already confirmed by Friedman and Dreiger. So whats stopping him this offseason from adding him. He knew the risks and yet was still willing to do so.

Well as long as Tony D’s contract is league min for 1 year with immediate termination if his issues flair up, would be a low risk high reward situation imo

Gotta give the guy a chance, would instantly become one of our most offensive dmen. Although I can’t see him wanting to sign in Canada unless that’s his only option

I don't think that would be a problem. He played junior in Ontario for 4 years.
