buddy Bear was good. One turnover does not make a player. He was our 3rd best dman this season and has room to grow into a very good top 4 dman

I’m not basing my opinion off one turnover. He’s just not good. Nurse carries his ass. You’re entitled to your opinion but I just don’t see it the same way you are.

I think you just need to realize there’s more to base your opinion off of besides what you see on your TV, there’s lots of evidence and video that proves he’s a good top 4 guy right now. not whining, I just find it hilarious how people think he’s not good

Ok here’s some stats which are not my opinion. 5th on oilers in time on ice per game for defencemen. 5th in scoring on oilers for defencemen. The guy had 2 goals in 43 games how do you think that’s good? His defence is worse than his offender. What’s hilarious is that people think he’s a top 4 dman. He’s 6 or 7th at best. Oilers are way better off without him. Sorry to burst your bubble pal.

Nurse actually outperforms when paired with Bear as opposed to Barrie or any other defender that the Oilers iced this past season. If Bear were given time on the powerplay he'd also have offensive numbers I can imagine. Fancy stats favor Bear infinitely more than Barrie as does the eye test. Barrie stacks secondary assists and PP points.

His injury caused him a lot of that. Just because he scored 2 goals doesn't mean he's bad lol. He put up 20 points last season.

Did you just send me a link for an article written on February 23rd? How am I supposed to take a full years worth of statistics when they’re only writing about a quarter of the year. I just looked it up and nurse played 22.2% of his even strength minutes with bear but only scored 10.3% of his even strength points with bear. Bear struggled last year. You can’t argue that.

When Kris Russell has more points than you in fewer games ya you are bad. Bear didn’t have a good year last year. Who cares about the year before.
