TBL took MTL by surprise with their speed. both teams played very very physically. changes i think should be made:
(maybe) take Perry out. He doesnt have much speed, which makes it difficult for him to do much. Again, MAYBE take him out,
Replace Merrill and Gustafsson for Kulak and Romanov. Both have not played well, and Kulak & Romanov both play very well defensively, and Romanov loves to hit, which is valuable in this series.
bring Armia back in. I know this is likely supposed to happen, so yeah this should be a given. Take either Evans or Staal out. Most likely Evans.
FIX THE MATCHUPS. last night was a disaster; the Suzuki line got steamrolled by the Point line. Play Danault vs Point, Suzuki vs Cirelli, Kotkaniemi vs Gourde, Staal vs Johnson.
play the Kotkaniemi line more, mainly because of Anderson. When he hits, there's never a half effort. It's always huge. And then the speed of Byron and Anderson is crazy.
switch Caufield and Toffoli on the powerplay. Caufield has shown he can be insanely dangerous near the net, more than Toffoli. Plus having a very tiny dude on defense isn't optimal lol
Roll 5D, 6F on the PK. Danault-Lehkonen, Byron-Armia, Suzuki-Toffoli / Chiarot-Weber, Edmundson-Petry, Romanov. Keeps everyone decently fresh.

I don’t think you understand how valuable last change is. The whole reason Montreal got awful matchups was because Tampa had full control over them. Yes MTL can try and make some quick changes to get a matchup, but it’s super hard on the road. It’ll get a lot better in game 3.
Romanov needs to be playing for sure. Gustafsson is the easy option when it comes to taking someone out he hardly plays. Plus petry and Weber can man the power plays.
