Tell that to Terry Pegula‘s wallet. He probably flatly refuses to spend a dime retaining on his contract. It’s already known that they will take salary back, in the form of players they can actually use, not useless cap dumps.

I don't think they will either but that's a solid offer, for that return it might be worth retaining on Eichel.

BUF isn’t retaining on Eichel for a number of reasons. 1) they don’t want to. 2) he is the kind of elite player that doesn’t become available so to the team acquiring him, their cap problems are their problems not BUF.

Why? Because it doesn’t work for the other team? BUF is giving up an elite player, anybody that expects the team giving up the elite player to help the acquiring team with their cap is crazy.

What Future? They have a 3 year window..

Love the Vegas offer but Buffalo is not paying Jack Eichel $1 to play for another team!!!

Vegas clears 2m in this deal by adding Jack.... let that sink in adding Jack helps Vegas Cap with this deal

guys like Glass Krebs Brisson... who become great players + 2 1st round picks... seems dumb to throw all that away for one player. See how well it worked out already..

Every team has there versions of Glass and Krebs.
I would says it’s working out well for Vegas, they just need something to get them over the hump. (Eichel)
