I am curious why Seattle didn't take Toews assuming he will be left unprotected. He is a far better asset then Donskoi, no?

i think colorado does everything in their power to either have johnson waive his NMC or they would just buy him out which might make this a little easier to work with. But i think it will be one of those two options. Toews played way to good this year to let him go for nothing

I can't see him waiving his NMC, doesn't make sense for him. Buyout seems like the most likely option IMO.

Yeah i think it was an overpay on buffalos part, i guess it would depend on reinhart if he asks to leave. I think colorado could add a mid round pick to sweeten the deal but i don't see them going over board with it, newhook is their top prospect already so they probily won't add to much more to put themselves in cap hell

As the original poster of the Reinhart and a bounced retained Fleury: I wasn't sure what to add and figured Avs fans would get mad if I did, (they already commented on mine that it wasn't enough to get Newhook lol) but I think if the Avs wanted to shed some cap and make space Buffalo would take Francouz and possibly even Compher as cap dumps in the deal.
