TBL offseason v4

Créé par: JTBF81
Équipe: 2021-22 Lightning de Tampa Bay
Date de création initiale: 25 juin 2021
Publié: 25 juin 2021
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
While unlikely that Tampa moves Cirelli, this scenario wojldnguve them the chance to keep one of Coleman or Savard as well. I went with Savard here but they could likely keep Coleman and run 22 to begin next season.

Could also see Tampa trying for Addison instead of Boldy, which would then likely see them keeping Coleman over Savard. Addison would then likely start the year next to Sergachev, although he would battle Foote for the spot. With Rutta both injury prone and likely out after next year, Addison would have a top 4 spot going forward most likely after next season.

Looks like a deal from the OIlers perspective. Good fit for the top 6 and acquisition cost is reasonable.

Ross Colton is a great depth player, but he is not a second-line center, especially for our team. His ceiling is a good third-line center.

It's possible, but he hasn't played nearly enough games yet to definitively say that a 3rd line C is his ceiling. If so, Gourde could be the 2nd line C. I doubt Cirelli is going anywhere anyway, just looking at a few different scenarios.

Pass from Minnesota. The center coming back should be a lot better if we're moving an NHL ready blue chip guy.

If you want a C that is on a level better than Cirelli, you'll be giving up a lot more than Boldy+2nd. Boldy has plenty of potential, but hasn't proved anything really at the NHL level. A mid to late 2nd in a so/so draft is what it is, probably a 20-25% chance at best to have a meaningful impact in the league. Tampa probably doesn't move Cirelli anyway, but a high level prospect+a pick would be the lowest most teams would take for their 2C.

I'm pretty certain we can find a 40-50 point two way center without giving up Boldy. If another team is moving a Boldy caliber prospect for Cirelli, I'd recommend making a move with them. You'll probably find that not many teams are willing to do that.

And Tampa won't move him for less. If he was made available, which I'm 95% sure he won't be, Tampa won't be accepting a joke return for him. If the Wild didn't want to trade Boldy or Addison as the base, no problem, many other teams would be very interested.

You're the one that made the thread sending Cirelli away, don't be mad at me because the team you're sending him too won't pay the price you want. Just keep him then.

Lol, not mad at all, I've already said Cirelli likely isn't being moved or even considered for it. Your prospects are just that, prospects that have shown nothing yet at the highest level. For Tampa to move a key piece of both their current and future core, it would take a piece that could actually contribute for them now, not in 3 years. Tampa takes the risk of trading a player who is actually playing well at the nhl level for one who, while they likely will, has no stats to back it up. Tampa may consider adding a lesser pick or prospect if a team needed some balance perhaps, but if Tampa wasn't getting a player or prospect in return that could help them now during their window, Tampa easily passes.
