It is interesting but I think the max Vancouver would do is Holtby + 2021 5th for Zadorov + Subban

As a Hawks fan...I don't want Holtby even if a 2nd came with...and we sent NOTHING to VAN. Holtby was LITERALLY the worst goalie in the entire NHL last year outside Philadelphia. As in, Matrin Jones was definitively better which is saying something. Hawks can sign just about ANY UFA and be better off than the $4.3M terrible goalie.

***EDIT*** Ok, I guess I would do a 2nd as long as nothing was sent to VAN. We can waive him and send him down to Rockford.

yep, purely the 2nd is the only thing that gets this deal across the line. VAN would need confidence on what big Z next contract would look like. I don't think its going to be anything like the media has suggested. Thats a good move from his agent or indeed CHI to prevent SEA from taking him in the expansion if he is left unprotected.
