Breaking News: According to Aaron Portzline and numerous sources, as of today the #CBJ are out on the #LetsGoBuffalo Jack Eichel sweepstakes. A trade was believed to consist of the 5th overall pick, Elvis Merzlikins, either Texier or Peeke and Chinakhov or Marchenko.

That’s seems like a great deal for CLB. Problem is it leaves them with literally nothing. They would just be Buffalo 2.0

CBJ is going to have to add another quality pick and prospect IMO

So, that's LA and CBJ that have backed out...

It's a shame, because I really hope for all of our sakes that Eichel gets moved sooner rather than later, but I honestly think there's a much better chance of it happening at next years draft (When healthy?) before his NMC kicks in, than this years. If they rush it, and just take the best available offer solely to move him, I can't imagine it'll turn out well...

That deal was too much in CBS favour, the only way it works is if CBS take Okposo too.

Also the offer was just what Aaron thought of as a hypothetical, not what was offered.

What this does tell us.... is that demand for Eichel is going DOWN. At this point it's just Minny, Chicago, and NYR to be remotely in on Eichel. And apparently all of those GM's are laughing at the ask from Adams.

Yes, Columbus isn’t trading for Eichel, still interested in Reinhart from what I can gather, but they are out of the Eichel sweepstakes. Which thank goodness, because Columbus needs to keep some of their picks to restock the prospect pool.

I agree, this trade leaves the Jackets with nothing.
