Sabres rebuild

Créé par: jdowning
Équipe: 2021-22 Sabres de Buffalo
Date de création initiale: 21 juin 2021
Publié: 21 juin 2021
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
#1 Owen Power (due to reports, not who I would take)
#3 William Eklund
#9 Wallstedt if he's there or McTavish, Johnson, or Lysell

You're still bad enough to be in the lottery for Wright, Lambert or Savoie. Maybe even still bad enough for 2023 Michkov/Bedard.

I like your thought process
Makes sense to me to bottom out again (unfortunately) and go for a high pick in the ‘22 and ‘23 drafts
Getting a couple of the guys u mentioned,
plus getting good returns for Jack & Sam,
could set us up on the path to future success (hopefully)

But we should get more back for Risto than just a bottom6 forward (add a 2nd?)

And that’s a really weak return for Eichel imo
If the Ducks wanna win the bidding for him,
i think their proposal would have to include Zegras or Drysdale
Maybe even both
I think other teams will offer pieces that would beat the above Anaheim offer

You’re gonna have to add something like that though
Bc Reinhart is worth much more than just a 1st (in a weaker draft nonetheless)

Trade him somewhere else then Canucks aren't giving up 9OA and something else

You won't get many better offers then 9ova for just Reinhart, Hoglander scored at better 5on5 points per 60 then Reinheart this year and the fact everyone and their mom knows Reinheart wants out of buffalo and wants to play on the west coast and is ufa in almost 12 months, Really doesn't give Buffalo leverage nor make sense from Van to do this package, This was also likely Reinheart's career year, so i do expect him to drop in production a bit next year, Van can add but it won't be anyone from their top 6 or Podkolzin, more a guy like Lind at best

You are comparing a small sample (56 gms) to 6 yrs of consistency (454 gms) and who now when given the chance (finally) has shown he can move to the middle. Does Hoglander show promise without a doubt but has he showed he can do it over 6 yrs not yet. Det received Vrana, 23OA plus Panik as a cap dump bc the trade was at the TDL and another draft pick for Mantha who is equal to Reinhart wo the flexibility to play center. so I say Hoglander and a 2nd. I had did a Hoglander and the first before but I was wrong about the first because the Wash 1st was 23OA.

the issue is Manatha is cost controlled for the next 3 years where Reinhart is not, that was a terrible trade by the caps anyway it won't set the market, There are more factors at play in that Manatha trade then there will be in a Reinhart trade, I'll give you that Reinhart has been on average a 20 goal 50 point guy the issue is that the relationship is so ****ed with the Saberes it will almost be imposable for them to get full value i really don't see Van trading hoglander or really anyone in the top 6 for Reinhart i really do see it being a 1st and b+ prospect other wise it just doesn't make sense

There is no bad relationship with the Sabres...after 6 yrs of not seeing improvement, continually changing GM's and coaches with guys with no experience and losing he just wants to win and see the playoffs. Do you think the Sabres would be in this position if they were winning? I don't blame either Eichel, Reinhart or Ristolainen for being tired of what this organization has done in their time here. The Pegulas should be ashamed of themselves for what they have done to this team.
As for value there is always one GM that will pay the price, there are teams asking that maybe Ristolainen also be added in any trade for either Eichel or Reinhart. Actually Friedman said the Sabres are getting plenty of interest in Reinhart. It's all about who wants him the most which ups his value. To be honest I can't wait til this is over so we all see what the value of Eichel and Reinhart is and for that matter Ristolainen bc he is a RH shot and physical which seems to be what some teams are looking for

A Flames fan has said there are rumors Tkachuk wants out of Calgary...do you think that will drop his value in a trade...I don't think so! I'm not comparing Reinhart and Tkachuk just stating bc a player wants out doesn't drop his value

1- you just don’t KNOW what the Canucks would or wouldn’t give up for him

2- this isn’t MY trade scenario

Ok…..
but what if NYR offers pick15 + ?
Or CGY is willing to do a deal with Tkachuk in the package?
If you’re willing to do pick9…. Why wouldn’t LA do pick8 ???
Etc, etc, etc

There’s a lot of possibilities dude

I don't see Calgary offering tkachuk nor do I see La offering 8, I've heard he wants to go the west coast, so I don't he would sign long term in New York and I feel that's the only they would trade for him, like I said would be comfortable doing 9 + lind and Roussel and like a 22 3rd but that's about the max I'd do

But just bc “”you “don’t see it” doesn’t mean it won’t happen
And those were just quick random examples i thought of
There’s many more

And whatever you feel comfortable with is fine
But NONE OF US actually know what’s gonna happen
