MAF HAS NEVER BEEN CHOSEN BY TEAM CANADA HE WILL ALSO BE 38 YRS OLD BY THEN , SO WILL BEGERON BE 38 BY THEN , BRINGING IN COUTURIER AND OREILLY MAKES BEGERON REDUNDANT I LOVE HIM BUT AT 38 COUTURIER IS BETTER ESPECIALLY ON THE BIGGER RINKS . NO CHANCE TAVARES IS ON THE TEAM . STAMKOS , BARZAL AND SCHEIFLE HAVE NEVER PLAYED LW AT ANY LEVEL OF HOCKEY . HUBERDEAU IS NOT CANADAS BEST LW ,
Fleury is a Vezina finalist this year, so unless he falls off a cliff next season it is very likely that he is chosen, even at age 37.
Bergeron is still regarded as one of, if not the best defensive forwards in the game, and I don't imagine he will lose that reputation to the point of not being chosen next year, even at age 36. Couturier very might arguable be the better selection but I don't imagine he gets in above Bergeron, especially with his existing chemistry with Marchand and to some extent, Crosby.
I didn't pick Tavares but I don't imagine him completely being out of contention.
Every Olympics, Canada shifts centres to the wing and I imagine that will continue to fit star players like Stamkos and Barzal into the team. Scheifele is an extra.
You could move Point/Marner up to the first line and Huberdeau down, matters based on the specific coach.
