Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

Best case scenario- The team hovers around .500 until Eichel comes back, all the kids take major steps, the vets stay healthy and we barely make the playoffs. Team gets valuable experience, then we load up for 22/23.

Worst Case- Eichel misses the whole year rehabbing and we suck again. Trade Lindholm, Manson, Rakell, and anyone else with value for younger assets and create a **** ton of cap space. Get a high pick in 22 draft and weaponize the cap space to build around Eichel/Zegras/Drysdale

I really don't think ANY team will send their #1 prospect to BUF. They'll all work out deals that BUF wants...that don't include their #1 prospect. Same with the Hawks. It'll more likely be Strome plus a number of other picks/prospects/players.

Why would the Sabres even talk to a team without starting with their #1 prospect? That literally makes no sense. We're talking about Jack Eichel here, not Sam Steel. If they don't want to include Zegras then Buffalo can deal him to LA for the same package the Ducks offer.

With Quinn already in BUF I could see that working. I really like Rossi. Thought he dropped to 9th and deserved better, but I'm not so sure BUF likes Rossi that much. Dont forget they literally passed on him.

I think you misunderstood. A team shouldn’t summarily not include their top prospect, it depends what the total package looks like. Zegras and a 1st, plus a middling roster player is a very competitive package. But the ask is that plus more quality, then it becomes an issue.

Its not as bad to look at if you put in Dostal and swap Mahura for BOG and point out 3 is Beniers or Eklund, 3 really nice pieces but unless you actually read the comment on the trade, you completely miss that
