VGK could just do the buyout themselves like CGY did with Michael Stone. If they were fine with the 3M plus ~1M MAF resigns for still a cap savings of 3M for next year. They don't really need to improve in big positions so don't need a ton of savings

Calgary literally just did with Michael Stone. The no re-signing thing was apparently on compliance buyouts.
