Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

- The Habs need a guy to fill the roll Petry plays four years from now when the new core (Suzuki, Caufiedl, Comtois, and Romanov) are at their peak. Hamilton might be that guy. Petry could be traded this summer or at the deadline.
- Also need to fill the hole left by Drouin. French plays a part in this. Tell the Ducks you are going to overpay the kid and that they would be better off taking a trade deal than overpaying him. I THINK you might be able to bully them that way. Or force them to overpay him with an offer sheet.

As much as I would love that COL trade COL declines, They would probably want a D prospect in return or would rather not trade Timmins at all

And Dougie gets around $8-9 mil

And what is the point in trading for Timmins if he isn't going to crack the Lineup?

Mixed opinions on Byron. Obviously his contract is an overpay but you see the intangibles (and I guess the tangible 2 playoff GWGs) and wonder if that's a decent spark for the bottom 6 in Edmonton. Next to no acquisition cost but need to be able to stomach the cap hit.

The COL trade is alright but Id rather get a pick for Drouin. As for Comtois, I think hed cost more. Also I think theres a realistic way to get him if hes part of the trade sending Eichel to ANA. Perhaps BUF would rather have another first and some great prospects instead of Comtois to help with their rebuild. So it could be some sort of 3 way trade. 2021 first, 2022 second and Harris could work

plus cap space...even retaining 50% on drouin avs cant add him without moving out money. Not worth it
