How about remove Boqvist. Take the 1st. Murphy, Strome and Zadorovs RFA rights?

Make zadorov Ian M’s rights and it’s a deal. Zadorov holds little value and the difference between a top rhd prospect and strome +Murphy expiring contract is massive difference. We’re gonna need a good prospect coming back. Other than that I love the idea.

Jones+ Bemstrom+ Third for Murphy, strome, first, Ian M, 2nd ( if we’re retooling)

Or if we get rienhart, I could see removing strome and adding another top 15 conditional 1st with 2 sliding years.

Zero chance Hawks do this deal. Drop Boqvist to Mitchell and the 2021 pick to top 10 protected 2022 and we consider. I get that you are just posting this from another article, I'm just commenting from a hawks fans perspective. This might be CBJ's ask but theres no way the hawks do this

I think the value is there but the only thing I would hold out for as a Hawks GM is the 1st round pick being a lesser one. Maybe a protected 2022 pick instead? I think getting Boqvist AND a non playoff 1st rounder with another 2nd is like just a tad too much considering CLB situation of having to deal Jones asap. I think with Negotiation, Boqvist, Lottery protected 1st 2022 and a 2nd 2021 for Jones is fair.

Not to mention that either retention or Hawks throwing in some dead cap going back, might be a necessity also. So many teams are right up against it cap wise so its in CLB best interest to help as many teams as possible be in on Jones by helping with some cap.

I would hope the Hawks wouldn’t do that. Nothing against Jones, but I think those are the type of assets we should hang on to.

I'd insist on Boqvist. Choosing between Boqvist and Mitchell strikes me as being like choosing between Werenski and Gavrikov - sure, they're both (going to be) NHLers, but only one of them is a (future) legit core player. If we have to add something else to get Murphy in the deal, so be it, but downgrading on quality IMO is not the way to do it.

This was a report on what a Columbus scout (who was not named) said it would take for Chicago to get Jones. This is not a rumor, just one person's opinion who happens to be employed by Columbus.

Spot on, this is common in most sports where the club/franchise selling wants to get the most for him and will leak certain info to drive up the price. This price has no legs from CHI perspective, why would a rebuilding team give up our best D prospect, a lottery pick and #43OA in the upcoming draft for a player who has been on a downtrend the last couple of season and has expressed his desire to test UFA.
