Description
At least it'll be fun to watch Donny Meatballs and the kids.
Adding Power, another high pick and maybe a big ticket free agent forward like Couturier or Point in 2022 could be really exciting.

He doesn't do much productive other than shoot... and that even started to fade last year because he stands in one spot and his name isn't Ovechkin... He's also pretty bad in his own end and in transition...
Jack Drury is a really promising prospect and Honka still has that boom or bust label...
If we're gonna commit to a tear down and build I think we should take what we can get... He's older than a lot of us realize too

Yeah I'm just thinking a difference between forwards and defense, etc.
I really hope it's one of the two in the package though... I'd almost risk saying I'd prefer Drysdale to be completely honest

He’s guaranteed to score 20 goals no matter how he gets them. This team needs somebody who can score no matter how bad people are trying to get them to be on purpose. Since the Pegulas only care about money they need to at least appear to be slightly competitive or no one is buying tickets. Giving away all your scoring assets for nothing that will make the roster next season is not a great way to send the message “come buy tickets.“

I get that and appreciate the idea. But Olofsson is not gonna score 20 goals without linemates to drive the play... I don't think he'd get 20 with this current lineup... Just my opinion that he'd be a bit of a hole in the puck moving/play driving style that Donny Meatballs likes to run... He has talent and that shot will be great on a contender... I just think we'd be better off after the proposed trade.

How many elite prospects did Ottawa get for Karlsson? Stutzle doesn’t count because everyone assumed that would be pick 25 or lower at the time. I’m pretty sure he was worth more in 2018 than Eichel is now.

I didn’t realize that every single potentially good prospect was Wayne Gretzky. But wait, even Wayne Gretzky was traded twice, and neither time did the team trading him away get fair value for what he’s worth. I guess the moral of the story is franchise centers don’t get traded, I guess that means Jack Eichel isn’t going anywhere. Somebody better tell him and his agent huh.

This is nowhere near fair value.

Raymond is a top prospect with unlimited potential and is cost controlled for 8 years.

You want to trade him for a player without a contract that we don't even know if he has any interest at all to sign with us. And if he should sign it'll be for 10 times the cost of Raymond.

Detroit needs centres but this is a rip off and you know it.

You can keep Reinhart.

How many fourth line guys were on pace to score near 20 goals in a full season? Personally I think Thompson is at least a third line player, and Zacha is only a second line center at best. There was an AGM on here a couple weeks ago where the Devils sent Thompson‘s brother to Buffalo, not sure where he fits but that might be something.

Hard to argue with someone who's as big of a homer as this guy. Zacha is a solid 3C on a real team, a 2C on bottom feeders like us and the Devils, and Thompson is a 3RW... mix in Risto with retention, who is the piece who's been said publicly that they want, and the trade should be close enough.

So Yzerman trades a player he selected 4th overall last year & has said he is the the core for a guy that wants the hell out of Buffalo with little team control? That said player would be in contention for 1st overall this year. Yeah, seems legit.

Tyce Thompson is a good player - but needs to add about 20 lbs.
He is the smaller, but more skilled of the two brothers.
Was top-5 in scoring in NCAA.

Zacha is a 3C for us when he plays center, but was a first-line LW for most this past season.
Was a ppg player on Nico's line.

There was a story about Risto to NJD that came from one guy, a Sabres beat reporter.
I do not think the Devils are going to go after Risto.
Goes against everything they have been saying, doing for last year and half.

Also came from Friedman that the two of them have heard it from the same sources... Idk where there's smoke.
But like I said, no one should be interested in Risto
