Idk if I would trust a Mete-Zaitsev pair to be able to get out of their own zone and create some offence

Zaitsev looked his best this season with Mete down the stretch, and I think with lower minutes and lesser competition he would be more effective overall. They probably won't create a whole lot of offense, but I don't think you need to be concerned about their ability to break the puck out. That's the thing Mete does the better than anything else. He's average to Slightly above average defensively and he is really good in his transitions. He can get the puck from the Dzone to the Ozone efficiently.

Zegras at LW next to Eichel and signing Danault for 2C. Or Zegras as 2C and signing Tatar or something to play next to Eichel. Just a hypothetical

I think they end up with Reinhart, not Eichel

Ottawa needs to make move. I don’t think they need to add on defence but would love to go after Laine , Reinhart etc.

Idk I just don't see any deals on the market I'm that excited by. I think there are so many low cost, low risk ways for Ottawa to improve this team, I'd hate to see them **** it up.

Just add one of Laine, Meier, Reinhart , etc, we have so many prospects , it’s time to pull this deal off. They’re all young enough to be able to be here and in their prime when we compete

The only name that really sticks out to me as a potentially really good fit would be William Nylander. Probably isn't available though, and it would make me sick to have to send a huge package of assets to Toronto
