You don't get an elite #1C by trading B tier prospects.

I never said those players should be part of the deal (I just quoted an article), because it won't be enough. This years 3OA, Perreault and 2 out of Terry, Rakell or Lindholm (even if it's just for them to flip either of them immediately) could be a reasonable deal for example. (If it's Rakell+Terry, add another Prospect / Pick.)

It wouldn't make sense for the Ducks to include Zegras and Drysdale because Eichel doesn't get the Ducks out of the bottom 10 teams either way and the only way for the Ducks to be good again in the near future (meaning 2-3 years) is with Zegras and Drysdale . With Eichel that can work out great but without Zegras and Drysdale, the most important corner stones of the future of the organization would be gone and they'd have almost no one around Eichel and he would be back in the same situation (meaning on a bad team).

Eichel's injury (which people just seem to ignore) is a risk which lowers his value a bit. Especially since (at least how I understood it) he want's particular treatment, which seems to be risky or Buffalo would've just let him do it.

GMBM also didn't want to include either in a deal for Dubious.

Minimum I'd want for Eichel is Drysdale AND Zegras. Ducks can keep 3OA from this year's draft.

The problem with Buffalo isn't their lack of high picks, its the fact that their drafting sucks. Makes a lot more sense for them to grab proven prospects rather than picks.
