Korpisalo would be a good pick up to play with smith.
not a fan of Domi hes not worth the 5 mill you can find a cheaper more effect 3C. and with the savings add a better 3LW as well.

Not my first choice either, but I feel like it fits in the trade cap wise (Koski being overpayed by so much), and Domi would still be very useful and change the look of the 3 C spot drastically. Plus, just the one year at this cap hit, then can either sign for cheaper or move on for a better fit.

Looking at it I just felt it was a realistic exchange, not necessarily the I'd prefer in a perfect scenario. And I don't hate the outcome. No clue what it would take to round out the trade tbh so threw in Jones Kahun and a 1st. Maybe an overpay for all of that but some combo of that I think makes sense.

Fair. Felt maybe the full Koski one year made it fair on the salary, since they both just have the one year left.

That's actually kind of necessary - if you make us retain on Domi, then we're not taking on Koskinen.

As is I'm kind of hesitant to go for this one; Domi was looking a lot better as the season moved on. It's the 2022 1st in particular that keeps me from just saying "nope" and moving on.

True. If Seth Jones is indeed demanding a trade, I would think that's how. If he is demanding then it's gotta be a pretty major rebuild in general I suspect in any case.

He's not; what's been indicated is just that he intends to test free agency. That's likely to lead to a trade, sure, but that doesn't mean he's demanding one.
