Seattle is not taking Okposo for anything less than a couple first round picks.

There is 0 chance you get essentially 2x1st for Reinhart.

Seattle needs to hit the cap floor, Okposo helps them do that. He brings leadership as well that a new team needs and only has 2 years left on his deal. I think some mid round picks get it done.

26 years old, RFA, just entering prime, averages near 60 pts per year and can play C/RW in any situation. That will net you a 1st and top prospect in the NHL today. Look at the Mantha trade at the deadline.

Possibly. Risto's value is tough to project as he is probably a player a team loves or hates. Rumors point to Devils loving him. The Devils will part with the 2nd Rd easily, it depends on what else.

But those rumors seem very unreliable. They were pointing out that RIsto would replace Connor Carrick, who was our 9th defensemen.

Murray, Carrick, Tennyson are all UFA. As your roster depth stands now they have 4 defenseman under contract. Now they may think Walsh and Bahl are NHL ready, which means they wouldn't need Risto.

Look at the trade where the Caps paid a premium for the Red Wings to eat Panik's contract for 2+ years? And where that first was going to be laster in the draft?

Also teams very very rarely trade top prospects, so quit lying to yourself. A first and a second? Sure, but not two firsts. Monahan has had a far better career than Reinhart, is just a year older and no one is giving up a top 15 pick and a 2019 or 2020 first rounder for him either.

I could see them moving Subban as he is not worth that contract. So maybe thats where he slides. Who knows.

I disagree with your assement completely. Especially on a Flames team desperate to win a cup or blowing it up and starting over.

Speaking of desperate, the Sabres have a year to trade Reinhart or he walks for nothing, you aren't getting a premium for him.
