One of the more frustrating things that can happen in these sorts of trade discussions is when someone opts to propose that another team trade for their player at the price which their team would want for said player, while ignoring said player's value relative to the rest of the market.
Usually we're on the receiving end. For this one, we're on the giving end.
We don't have any particular motivation to move Gavrikov, so trading him would necessitate some kind of overpayment - but you can't just go around and start actively soliciting those kinds of overpayments. It's not cricket.
