A, it's a better draft class. B, I believe with the way they enter the NHL it's first over all.

Seattle has the 2nd overall pick for this year's draft. Odds are it will be much lower next year so why would they want a later pick over #2?

It's not like Buffalo needs that cap space anytime soon, and by the time they need it, it should cost less to get rid of it

As I said if I'm not mistaken Seattle has the first overall next year. So it would be a way better deal. Plus I think Buffalo could get better trades for Eichel from other teams.
