I may be wrong on this, but Vancouver may have to add a drop more to this, like a Motte/MacEwen, but Reinhart makes a lot of sense for the Canucks. A top 6 of JT Miller, Bo, Boeser, EP, Hoglander and Reinhart is pretty sweet.

I'd throw in MacEwan no problem but not Motte. Honestly I think the deal would be 9OA for Reinhart 1 for 1 but I know that won't go over well here and I don't mind losing Lind or MacEwan or Gadjovic

I disagree. I think he's primed to sign a small 1 year deal in this market. He tore his meniscus, MCL, and ACL and could very possibly miss the beginning of the season while still recovering but might be ready to go for opening night. He also has only played 13 games since March 2020. That will be 13 games in about 18months and coming off major knee surgery. Too many question marks to get the contract he'd get had he not been injured so badly.

As for signing in Vancouver, there's tons of opportunity for him to get icetime and have a big prove it year.

Buffalo will likely offer him 4 x 3.
The injury concern is real but someone will have to beat what Buffalo will give him as their #2 dman and biggest leader.

Thanks! I think the Reinhart move is a long shot but I think Wallmark is a guy that will be available for cheap and could be a good option for the Canucks with the limited cap space. Really like targeting Blais in a trade too as he brings speed and physicality. Paquette can be a solid cheap addition that kills penalties and plays 4th line.

Ya it'll be interesting to see what happens. I don't think that's out of the question but his situation feels very up in the air. Could largely depend on if he wants to come back to Buffalo too.
