no one wants to trade Girard, Avs fans defeintly dont

Some fans are idiots. Sammy didn't have his best game in the last on in Vegas. I am about to get slammed by other Avs fans but I honestly think Sammy should be up for the Norris over Cale, Cale can put up points, but Sammy was the better two way this year. Best D- man on the team this year, imo. His size for some could be the problem also. The Avs sure missed EJ punishing guys up front. And little Sammy would hit guys and then bounce backward. His skating and stick work more than make up for that draw back.

Girard is a fantastic player, but the Stars aren’t shopping Hintz.

IMHO. that would be a bad trade for both teams.

Yeah I know , it was more a projection of what avs should target IF they trade girard. A young 2C who can help mackinnon . Kadri was good but I donlt
think avs will keep him

If kadri leaves and we manage to keep graves, I don’t think its that bad. Of course Hintz is not on the tradebloc but getting a young C for our 2cnd line could be good. We have Newhook so I doubt avs will take this route, and I also doubt Girard’s getting trade

Not trying to nitpick, but Hintz was a 1C while playing injured all year long. Agree with the rest

its not they want to trade Girard its that he has a ton of value and we have great depth on the left side. To get a real 2nd line center a piece like Girard will have to get shipped out. We still have Towes and Byram on the left side with Makar / Timmins on the right side.
