Im not sure that gets Garland though. I think its fair however I would be interested to see what ARI fans think of it but they are quite scarce.

Yotes want to go young. Zadorov won't be that interesting to them unless they plan to flip him elsewhere for prospects or picks. Not familiar with Kurashev, what kind of prospect is he?

Hes a player who could be similar to Garland, a later pick who impressed in patches throughout this season but tends to give his all each shift. Similar output to how Garland went in his first year of NHL. Can play both sides and even C.

I do agree that its prob not going to get you a garland as he is already established. They could get a 1st from someone else.

You've got to cover your bonuses in order to use LITR, but Shaw for some reason you have on IR so you're good if you move him to LITR.

Martinez is a move I could see the Hawks make, but not both Lindholm and Martinez. Keith also hasn't regressed to the point he's a 3rd liner. I get he's not a first liner, but he's certainly a 2nd liner paired with a guy like Murphy.

That is a pretty solid defense for the next couple of seasons until Keith hangs them up.

Throw Nylander in the Garland trade and take out Kurashev, but, I'd honestly make a run at bringing Saad back first. He's a better player hands down and my guess is $5M to $5.5M for 3 or 4 years gets him back in a Hawks sweater plus he doesn't cost any assets. Kurashev is only 21 years old and first time on NA ice....I don't think you sell that low on him, he could be a 50 point player for sure when he's the same age as Garland.

I don't think Reichel is quite ready, I think he'd benefit from time adjusting to NA ice in the AHL. Remember, this kid has never played on NA ice and it's a big change especially for a winger when you don't have time and space like you do on international ice. In the meantime, a line of Hagel - Suter - Hino is fast and very dangerous IMO. I love that 3rd line and say Hawks need to with it until it proves differently.

Zadarov is still young, especially for a D man just turning 26. D guys usually peak around 28 years old and he doesn't have a ton of miles on his skates so there is definitely upside. That said, Z needs to play with a heavy team and that's not AZ IMO. He would do much better with Boston, Pit, Mtl, Wpg, etc.

Kurashev is a standout rookie in his first year in the league at age 21. He put up 8 goals and 8 assists on the 3rd line mostly...high energy guy and strong at 190lbs and only 6'.

Not seeing the value for the Jackets here; a 4th and an already-troubled prospect who just lost an entire critical year of development do not strike me as adequate compensation for taking on a cap dump with term.
