I think your Eichel trade might work if you took out Olafsson. I don't think Buffalo is looking to get rid of him. I also don't think there is any chance Tyler Parsons becomes the backup. The Flames will surely sign a UFA backup.

Aside from that I like it.

Take out 1 1st and give us Lindholm. We’d need a guy to fill Eichel’s spot. Also we’d need a reasonable contract extension agreed to with Tkachuk

1. There’s absolutely no shot you get both Lindholm and Tkachuk. Or Lindholm at all, honestly. And even if that was on the table, Buffalo would definitely be adding.
2. Tkachuk is not eligible to even talk about an extension by the rules of the CBA so stop this stupid narrative that he needs to come with one.

Y’all Sabres fans need to chill. Tkachuk’s a 23yo top 10 winger. The Flames aren’t adding more than 1 premium asset (12oa, Zary, Dube) and that’s pretty much the end of the package.

IMO most Sabre fans do not understand how good Tkachuk can play.
I would kill to get this return for Jack.
Zary is a really good prospect.
The 2021 first could return a good player.
The 2022 first in a deep draft even late one could return a good player.

If we presume Olofsson has the value of Zary and 2022 first this is a good trade.
I would make it as a Sabre fan.
