Y'all need to quit ****ing about Tampa's 98 mill cap. The reason they are above the cap I believe is that the cap is locked in at the end of the regular season and at the time both Stammer and Kuch were on LTIR, making them exempt from the cap (so we're Nilsson and Gaborik), thus putting them at over 17 mill above the cap legally when they can take Kuch and Stammer off LTIR.

It’s still a loophole that the league needs to deal with. A simple solution is that all teams must be cap compliant in the playoffs, it’s really that simple of a solution!

I honestly don't get it but if that was the case almost EVERY team would be above the cap but that's because roster sizes in the playoffs were ludicrous.

No offense but this lineup is ****. Put johnny with barzy and ebs, keep 18-29-12 theyve been great palms jg and lindholm and the 4th line maybe slot leo in instead of 1 of them. Why pelechs playing 3rd pair idk. Pelech pulock clearly together gio and mayfield and leddy and dobson.

I don't have a problem with lightning being above the cap in the regular season, I think LTIR is a really smart rule by the league. If a player gets a big injury, you can take his money off the books and replace him, I don't agree with no cap in the playoffs. Shouldn't be allowed to have a lineup that exceeds 81.5 million. If Lee ever comes back (they said he won't) they shouldn't be allowed to just put him in the lineup. the 20 guys dressed, shouldn't be over 81.5.

And it's not the lightning's fault they followed a really stupid rule. It's very well executed.

Haha sorry mann I ain't a ILS fan, I was trying to provoque some TBL fish here.. Get the players you want and create a 100M cap team with your ILS if you wish. I gave my Habs some Bruins help in another post I couldn't just take the same guys (Marchand, Bergy and McAvoy). That said, I really wish they can beat TB and head to the final! Good luck New York!

Yeah after that game though im not sure. Hopefully the coliseum will get the isles going as its been great there and we take both. Thats the only way to win. OR we lose game 3 like all the other series and win the next 3 like all the other series.
