Description

I know this is just my ideal off-season but I anted to share it because I think wools are forgetting it about some major story lines for the hawks and I think they need to be considered when we talk about next season.

I still believe in letting the young guys play
I love Strome but I think he is done
I really like causers but I believe he is taken in the expansion draft
People are sleeping on Nylander's potential to be a top 6 forward.

So long story short I believe in letting the young guys lay and taking on a few bad contracts for picks not prospects .

Yes I think Bowman made good decisions this year but also I am worried about his contract negotiations this off season and I do still think we need a new GM and we absolutely need a new coach.

Our first rounder this year I like Chaz Lucius a lot
Edmonton’s I like Aatu Raty or Sebastian Cossa.
Vegas I’m going to assume bottom 3 pick so I would like Nikita Chibrikov or Simon Robertson

This trade is made of Stan knows Toews is coming back . Koskinen can be a back up to Lank, I would prefer a better veteran to mentor Lank but the first rounder is to attractive to pass up for a one year cap dump for the strapped oilers.
Edmonton likes this trade to add a much needed depth scorer who also has history with Connor.

Ok so this is the one trade I think might be a stretch. Philly really needs a shake up and is looking for youngish talent. I love philly and thought they could compete this year for a cup but I never clicked well.
Next year Zadorov can still grow into a solid top 4 and Shalunov has proven over seas to be a top threat. Toss in the third and I think it’s a fair deal. The hawks can use a guy like Konecney to help fill out the top 6 and create a very good 3rd line to roll as well.

Trade made at the draft to help us move up in the draft for more top players

I know this is the trade everyone will be made about but I really think one or two major prospects are going to be traded. I like Kurashev a lot but I am just not sure where he will be if Nylander, Hagel, Borgatrom, Barrett, and Richel are all on the team. I would rather trade him then healthy scratch him

You can’t sit Kalynuk, you just signed Stillman, and Kieth is a legend. So yes we need to retain to trade De Haan so we don’t get a seventh rounder. I think he still has clue and is a good D man but we need our kids to play in at least a rotational basis.

Rather just buy Koskinen out and trade you a second for Strome moving a first rounder to get out from under Koskinen isn’t worth that cost

Penguins pass. Sullivan is very adamant about right shot RD, and de Haan would be sixth on the LD depth chart next season.

Konecny will return far greater than this.

The VGK isn't a bad move if someone has dropped that we have our eye on. I like Kurashev so I'm not dead set on this deal.

We do not have the cap space for De Haan, we are already paying Matheson and Pettersson, take one of those guys back and u maybe u have a deal

It is Vegas 2nd, so no matter if they lose to Montreal or wins the cup, its worth 32 spots. Which can be very valuble if someone we like falls in the first round. I think of taking a shot at a player like Räty if so.

I like this as a Hawks-fan. Maybe Flyers wants a little bit more but talking about trading Kurashev may be the right move to make at the draft. I think Kurashev and 2nd (VGK) can give us a higher selection in the first round as well, maybe a top 25?
