I mean, you have to admit its a solid offer. You're getting a top 6 winger whod look awesome with McD, a solid goalie, two high picks (good for you guys since you dont have any 2nds or 3rds this year) and get rid of two really bad contracts for a single prospect and a mid first (with which you might grab the same guy youd grab at 28th OA with MTLs pick). With the cap space, you could also sign a 3C and perhaps an extra top 6 forward

You just got bent over by Winnipeg and you say this solid prospect is untouchable? Weird

Both useless overpaid players, maybe he’s slightly better. Don’t see the point for Edmonton

Ok, I see you're a Drouin hater. How is a 50+ pts winger (paid 4 millions) who could reach 70+ with McD is a slight upgrade on Neal who's arguably one of the worst contract in the league?

Didn’t realize you retained on drouin. That makes it considerably better but still, even if he’s a 70 point guy with 97 that would be because he’s getting secondary assists like Barrie. They desperately need more talent who can actually score, not just racking up assists playing with 97.

Not getting moved in front of Broberg, Lavoie etc. Untouchable for anything the Canadians can offer is fair. Holloway had an NHLe of 56 at 19...

No it’s not a solid offer, trading away Neal’s cap problem for another cap problem in Drouin isn’t something the Oilers have any interest in especially not at the cost of our # 1 offensive prospect. Koskinen is easy to buyout and not worth a prospect.

Lavoie won’t get you **** in return. You can say no to a trade, but saying you won’t move him is stupid. He’s a solid prospect but the oilers desperately need talent and high end talent now

There are 5 FA wingers that are better than Drouin.. why would they pay assets for one? Winning teams have players contributing on ELC’s. Doesn’t make sense

So Drouin the guy every habs fan will trade for whatever bad contract they can just to get rid of the guy and a backup who had a 907 save % where the missing pieces, don’t think so they provided the same impact that Neal and Koskinen did for the oilers, so ya Holloway is unavailable

People don’t say unavailable for one trade. Unavailable means for any trade you wouldn’t move him, not the one listed above. Only 97&29 should be unavailable

That’s not what I said? There are holes that can easily be filled through free agency without throwing away futures.

Well you just contradicted yourself, 97 and 29 would be available for the right trade but they are listed as most as unavailable same is true for Holloway he’s unavailable but there’s always a but, but don’t see any of the 31 current nhl GM’s willing to meet that but. Any player in the league is available
Building teams over the course of the salary cap era haven’t moved their top prospects will happen even less in a flat cap era

How does a player score when he quits on a team. Was it the harsh Tampa media that forced him to quit there??

I still am rooting for Montreal just to see Drouin carry the Cup and celebrate with his teammates...

I said unavailable means won’t be traded. 97&29 are unavailable. Now yes you can say for ****ing kucherov and vasilevsky and hedman that 29 would be available but being reasonable he’s unavailable

How good do you think Holloway will be? Your acting like he’s gonna put up 100 points. He’s solid don’t get me wrong but to say unavailable is stupid, even for a reasonable price

He’s unavailable like any teams top prospects until someone’s willing to overpay or there included in a blockbuster to bring in a star player, Holland’s stated at his yr end presser he’s not looking to make a blockbuster move as he was directly asked by the media, if he was open to moving top prospects to bring in a impact player, again his answer was NO have the oilers shopped Holloway NO, is Holland opened to moving top prospects NO, so is Holloway unavailable YES

If the oilers where open to moving Holloway then yes reasonable offers would be entertained but their not especially for that garbage trade so Yes he’s unavailable.

I have to make this perfectly clear, AS I SAID MULTIPLE TIMES NOW THE OILERS DECLINE THIS TRADE

now that that’s out of the way, don’t be fooled by what gm’s say. We weren’t moving Subban and within the week he was dealt. We weren’t moving Sergachev and what do you know, he’s gone.

We seem to have different opinions on the term available, you state he’s unavailable unless there’s a blockbuster. That would mean available. Now yes he’s a good prospect and would need to be included in a trade for a star player, but that would mean he’s available. A reasonable star going the other way you’d have to be willing to move him.

I’m still trying to figure out how good you think he’s going to be? 50 points? 60? 70? 80? 90? 100?
