That’s a terrible trade for buffalo. You want Risto half retained, and a guaranteed 20 to 30 goal scorer for a prospect, a first rounder in two years, and a defenseman that certainly has no interest in being in Buffalo? I think they’re going to say no.

As a Sabres fan I take that and RUN!

Reilly >>> Risto(has this reputation for being nasty, and big hitter, but really he just acts tough but doesn’t do **** and cant play D).

Olofsson is a 1 dimensional PP sniper, 5v5 black hole.

I like hallander and then you give me a 1st???? Love this trade

Risto half retained for a season where we’ll probably suck again. That’s fine.

Olofsson will be late 20s by the time we’re on the way back up.

Reilly can be moved in 3-4 years for a decent return.

Hallander is a solid prospect.

I didn’t see if that 2022 pick is unprotected but if it isn’t that draft is loaded, and 2023 even more so.

I realize this is written halfway through the quote but I’m on mobile and it will be a pain to fix

You mean overrated? He gives you nothing at 5v5. Outside of his ridiculous 1T, he’s a meh B6 player, if you can get value for him now, do it

Maybe?
But i don’t think the Sabres would be too keen on helping out a division rival

Olofsson’s 5v5 numbers are a result of him….
They’re a result of being on a horrible team

Just look at the difference between the Sabres’ version of Taylor Hall & then Boston’s
Olofsson is a talented offensive player who would thrive with Toronto imo

And being a Sabres fan, i hope he’s not moved there! Lol

Very uninformed take. Look at his stats. 50% of his goals and points are 5v5. His numbers in that regard are almost identical to Stamkos, and I don't think you will call him overrated or someone who "gives nothing at 5v5." This was just his 2nd season in the NHL. He will continue to develop and adjust to the game. He has an elite shot and is a great skater and those two combined means he is and will continue to be a weapon on the ice.

Unless Olofsson scores 30-40 goals a year he won’t be breaking the bank going forward. He’s still a lock for 20 goals a year regardless of how he scores them. It won’t matter how old he is unless his production suffers. I’ll take the sure thing over the lottery tickets personally.

Brutal trades for the Leafs. Olosson isn't special especially at 3.m....spend that on a better player and keep the first rounder and Hallander.

So you don't think Mikheyvov can score (yea that's true). But he scored twice as many goals as Patrick did who you overpaid to get.
