Meaning the Isles keep him for themselves or another team would take Leo on willingly? Either way, $3m is $3m and we need to get it off the books. I was close to trading Hickey's expiring deal outright too. Frees up another $833k that could be spread out to the above contracts to anyone who complains about a deal being light lol

Beau and Pelech will get more than that through arbitration if they have to. After consecutive years being top players in the Playoffs I think you're undershooting their contracts by about 3.5-4M combined. Also think Casey will get more in FA... hate to say it, but maybe from a team like Toronto who will be focused on adding grit

A little bit of both. He's been really good the last couple months and we all know how much GMs like playoff performers. Obviously you don't love him on top line, but on the 3rd or 4th? Another team might have some use for that....

I'd be okay retaining up to a million if it meant getting rid of the other two. Perhaps you tie Bellows to him, since his time with the Isles is probably over anyways (post Expansion, but I don't think Seattle takes him anyways)

I thought komarov was good against the pens, but I thought he was our worst forward against Boston. I guess it's possible a GM overvalues him because Trotz plays him on the top line and he only has 1 year remaining.
