Not a chance in hell that gets you Eichel at 3 million retained.

For the first trade, there’s no way the Canucks would do horvat for monahan 1 for 1, let alone add a first. May as well not even try to do it to be honest

For the second trade, take out the third and add a decent centre going back. Maybe monahan + for jones? Not sure but I know that 12th overall isn’t getting it done.

For the eichel trade, the big problem is the rentention. No chance Buff retains 3 million per season for 5 years. Take that out and it’s a better trade

Other big problem is the contracts. Severely underpaying saad, Coleman, palmari, Edler, and Andersen. All of those guys are getting 2 million more than what you signed them for, at least

I am unsure what people think Eichel is actually going to net them. He has a massive ticket and needs (wants) NECK SURGERY.
Getting two first round selected prospects, an excellent top 6 winger, and two first rounders is about as good as it gets.

An excellent top 6 winger would be a player that has had multiple 60 point seasons not one that has 77 total in over 2 seasons. The Sabres likely will take 1 or 2 years of a bad contract back to make the money work for the right return in an eichel deal, but no chance they are retaining 3 million for 5 years

Not nearly enough for Jones. A futures-based trade would require a 1st and a top-quality blue-chipper.
