Would take far more then a 1st and 3rd round pick to take on Tyler Johnson for 3 years @ $5,000,000 per, You're looking at a 1st and a 2nd round pick and a b prospect at the very least.

How about Alex Barre Boulet? He's a very good player if you don't consider him a prospect. (Point per game player in the minors and top 5 in scoring)

Johnson is a 3 year long expensive contract.

      You'll have to offer a 1st + a 2nd + a 3rd and nothing back before there's a deal to be had.

An option is to add prospects - Johnson + Finley + Goncalves for future considerations.

Dude Tyler Johnson could be a productive player for you guys. he's a 30-40 point guy, Its just hes kind of an odd man out on our lineup, its not even that he's that bad.

That's somewhat better, Yzerman would probably do that. And if Johnson had a chance to get his 2C job back with Detroit. i'm pretty sure he'd waive especially if Tampa wins back to back cups here.

Lipanov isn't good enough. Make it Finley or Goncalves instead and you have a deal.

If you make it Alnefelt + Finley + Goncalves you can keep the picks, the players are better for Detroit than picks.

Brisbeois is very high on Finley so I doubt he will give him up, I gave you guys ABB and a third instead.

He may be that today but the contract is for three years and he definitely won't keep it up.

Another thing you need to take into account is that there are several other teams offering cap dumps to Detroit and we can't do them all (there's a 50-contract limit in the NHL) so Detroit will choose the ones that offers the best returns. It'll go to the highest bidder.

ABB is eligible for waivers and there's no spot open.

Make it Ryfors instead and Detroit will be happy to accept.

Alnefelt + Ryfors + Goncalves is a good deal for taking on Johnson.

It fills needs Detroit have very well and helps the rebuild.

You don't need the 3rd - the players are enough.

Id rather move Johnson with a 2022 1st and a small add. i dont think it takes more than that if it even takes that much. hes more likely to be taken by Seattle for less than a trade with anyone else

He passed through waivers before the year. No one wants his contract and is willing to do Tampa any favors.
      Quoting:
SN’s Darren Dreger ranks among those who report that other NHL teams want the Lightning to give up something in return for taking on Johnson’s $5M cap hit.

They need a “sweetener,” so to speak, such as a pick or a prospect. Maybe they need to retain salary, or both.

Teams have interest in Johnson, but aren’t interested in relieving cap pressure in Tampa Bay without the Lightning eating a portion of the money or including a legit sweetener to make a deal. https://t.co/BdGs8Rg5Jn

No he isn't. Seattle isn't just gonna help you out. Their price will be worse because you're not just asking them to take Johnson; you're asking them to ignore better options.

Again, you seem confused. All of the players you listed are better than Johnson. THEY ARE BETTER OPTIONS. So if you want them to take your cap dump (Johnson) in the expansion draft you pay more.
