True, but point won a cup as the #1 C and was probably the #2 player last year IMO after Hedman. This year no doubt Kucherov is the best player and point has been his wingman but last year I loved Points game. Barkov does need wingers though, would be fun for him to show us his potential, him, Barzal and Eichel with wingers like Kucherov would be awesome to watch!
Point was better than Hedman. I know I’m bias, but even Heiskanen was better than Hedman last playoffs.
Right now I agree except Matthews should be below Bergeron and Barzal both have been beyond round one multiple times and Bergeron is far better defensively and offensively where it matters in the playoffs.
Honestly right now I think there could be a series debate for Mackinnon the best player in the world. Point also below Aho because point has kucherov to drive his line while Aho does it all himself.
umm... aho has teravainen and svechnikov. pretty sure he's okay.

Point is elite when paired with Kucherov, but I continue to be skepitcal of giving Point the elite tag (#4 center in the league here) when he does not have Kucherov on his wing. Kucherov pulled his groin game #1 in the 5OT game against Columbus last year, and that bothered him throughout the entirety of last years playoff run. I'm not sure how widely known that is, but its crazy to think what could have been if he was fully healthy. Even now after surgery he's dominating, but still not looking 100% his normal self on the ice. Back to Barkov though, I think he elevates his wingers' games in a way Point has not shown yet.
edit: I originally said Barzal instead of Barkov...... oops Point > Barzal

I'd agree with you. But one thing I will say about Point is when he's not on the ice Kucherov is far less of a threat. Kuch is great but Point has a bigger impact on Kucherovs game than people give him credit for.

Kucherov isn't a one man army, but for what it's worth he did look good many moons ago when Johnson was of 1C quality.

Good god almighty why would a single player ever be evaluated by team performance in a sport where 20 players factor into team success every single game
They've mostly faced teams = or better than them
In his playoff career he has 24 pts in 32 games
~ exactly the expected pts/game of an 80-90 pt player
He has done his part ... playoffs are just crazy erratic
