There is a possibility he retires but I think he'll stay in the league

I think he would LIKE to stay in the league, but if he does it’s purely off name brand, or on a terrible team like Buffalo. I don’t think his current abilities justify giving him an NHL contract based on pure on-ice merit.

I think the following is one of the most complete teams I've ever built...
DeBrincat-MacKinnon-M.Tkachuk
Gurianov-Cirelli-R.Smith
Greenway-R.Strome-Carter
Paul-D.Ryan-Fast

Chychrun-Pesce
Martinez-Montour
Boroweicki-Walker

Hellebuyck
Rittich

I think this team can «easily» win it all because they have a strong C core, strong wingers that can contribute in all facets of the play, mobile and physical, 2-way d-men as well as one of the 2-3 best goalies on the planet.

Who are your main breakout and regression candidates for the upcoming season? For me:

-Breakout : Jared McCann
-Regression : Alex Nedeljkovic or Brendan Gallagher

Agree with McCann and Ned.

Why Gallagher though? Any specific reason, he seems kind of random.

I just cant see Kraken getting #1OA as compared to Buffalo, Anaheim, and as Columbus their team is better built. Especially when you consider Anaheim gonna be selling off some of the vets and rentals this season either at the deadline or whenever. As lets be real without Manson, Lindholm, Rakell, and potentially Fowler, Gibson, and Henrique where would they finish. Last to close to last would be my guess. But if Gibson stays could easily see them get the #2OA

I mean, it's a lottery. As long as Seattle is in the bottom 10, they can get the 1OA pick.

I think in that weak division there's a good chance Seattle makes the playoffs.

Iunno what did Colorado do to address their issues? I guess if a Kadri was there during the playoffs they could’ve beaten Vegas? Maybe. Toronto Iunno I’m not sold, we’re betting on Bunting becoming Verhaeghe essentially, the unknown Campbell-Mrazek tandem, Spezza not falling off a cliff, Keefe’s decision making (who’s controlling the ship cause the PP stunk and no adjustments were made), and a lowkey thing is Muzzin getting injured in the first round of the last two postseasons

I mean Florida aint much better

Bobrosky his last 2 seasons has been godawful and hes making 10mill and according to Zito is slated to be the backup. Then you got Knight who sure looked good in his 6 games but only 2 of those did he go up against good competition. Would not put my hopes on him carrying that team as it rarely happens. So if anything that duo is a bigger gamble than Mrazek and Campbell. Losing Dreiger is gonna really hurt this team

Then you got the defense. Other than Weegar and Ekblad everyone else is meh.

Only good thing is their forward depth but often as we have seen in the past teams with good forward cores, meh dcores, and bad goaltending dont go far. And with the Atlantic being as tough as it is wildcard spot is probs where they land.

And thats what gives Toronto the advantage. Sure their forward depth is less but their goaltending and defense specially the top 4 is much better.

As for Colorado they got Kuemper. Kuemper had solid numbers on a bad Houston team. Put him behind Colorado's defense and I would not be surprised if he challanges for the Vezina if not winning it.

Heck now that I think about it Boston could struggle. Losing Krejci could hurt them badly as it seems the fans have little confidence in Haula, Coyle, or Foligno at the 2c Position and that could hurt them in the long run especially if they cant find a long-term solution.

Either way the Atlantic will be a blood bath and I bet all teams in that division will be riddled with injuries potentially to the point where Detroit could make it over someone

Agree with McCann and Ned.

Why Gallagher though? Any specific reason, he seems kind of random.

Both of his linemates of the past three seasons are gone. He's gonna have to find chemistry with new players and the guy he's the most used to play with is Lehkonen, not a top point producer.

Well hopefully his finger good to go, because he already regressed offensively in the playoffs. My guess is he ends up playing with Drouin and Evans, and hopefully they can rekindle some of the magic he had with Tatar & Danault.

Despite the Canucks being a benning team they got a better chance then St. Louis or Chicago at making it to the WC2 spot. Now if Toews returns that changes things and Chicago will be in that WC2 spot
