Dubas made a mistake with J.T. than the long fought battle with Nylander and it steamrolled with his contract signings of Matthews and Marner. If Lou was around to sign those 3 young stars the Leafs would have enough cap space to keep Kadri, C. Brown and Kapanen.

I do love that people keep pretending Lou would have signed good contracts when he's signed so many awful contracts since in toronto and long island. If lou was better at his job the leafs would still have connor brown, their 1st last year and probably nylander for cheaper since he had a full year to negotiate with him.
